SK AG (The Smooth Knobblies Acronym Guide - as requested)

So we have a few new members - which is great because it means that our numbers are swelling! Our camaraderie is known to be infectious and our riding ability is also improving all the time (well, that's a relative statement I guess...) So there has been a request for an "Acronym Guide". And I can understand the need for this. As a group with its own sub-culture, its quite natural for a unique dialect to evolve. So, here is the first bash (although this list is by no means an exhaustive list of acronyms.....). Warren and Phil, your SK (see SK below) Induction Exam is next week.
CrackMan says he will be doing the physical examination of new members in the gym next week (we find that cataflam or myprodol helps ease the pain after this...)

BRE - Best Ride Ever. Printed on the SK 2012 jersey. Commonly used in the texting circles. Normally used to evoke envy from those who didn't ride in the morning.

FBSW - Fu(king Bitch Slag Whore - Term coined by 2Tone after the canine anti-Anglo attack on the mountain. Now used as a term which means "very very very bad person". Also gender-interchangeable (replace "whore" with "wanker")

BHA - Baby Head Alley - treacherous dry river bed route that turns off DMT. Tends to whip you off near the end as you try and avoid the thick bushes yanking at your handles...BHA is a well-known route used when we have a first-time rider in the group. Ranger Twakkie is naughty this way.

DMT - Route up to Dead Man's Tree. It has a little sting in the tail at the end. The bench under the tree is a popular resting point for the Sknobs as we yell inspirational comments down to those riders still ascending. Summits onto Tafelberg Road.

DMS - Dead Man's Scream - One of the earliest SK climbs that was nearly not doable. Things have changed and most of us are able to scale it. Its a real FBSW to climb, but often part of a BRE - never done when we do BHA.

HTFU - Seriously? You don't know this one? I'm not even going to explain.....

SK - Smooth Knobblies. Us. The group. Copyright pending.

FMD - Fu(k My Dog. Expression taken from the Poms in the group describing the climb up Signal Hill. Still has the beating of over half the group. One twitch of the front wheel and you're off the climb. The FMD expression is reserved as you summit the climb and all you can normally stammer out is "FMD" as your heart is usually pounding through your rib cage. FMD name has not been used in any official Table Mountain riding map guide (despite us telling the authorities). The reason for this ignorance is yet unknown.... Its always a tough climb though. Always.

WTF - Like HTFU...you don't know this? WTF? FBSW.....
