So the group is always eager to ride the Worlds largest timed cycle race! Whilst we have members that compete in various other races (on the MTB side in the Cape Epic; Wine2Whales; The Transbaviaans; Sani2C - and various other Cape road races like the 99er; Die Burger etc) we always like to see how we do in The Argus. Its the unofficial pecking order. Right now Riaan Meintjes (aka The Nutcracker) is the fastest Smooth Knob with a 02:55 Argus. Twakkie holds our record with a 02:51 from a few years back - but you would do well to remember that he was a former Gauteng Racing Vet (a fact we are reminded of on a constant basis!). He wasn't riding as a Smooth Knobblie back then - but he's better now!
